Almond Maca Smoothie … or more like … ‘almond banana honey cinnamon chia maca detox smoothie!’ I’m not really sure if this could even be considered a detox smoothie, but I like telling myself that it could be! I guess, it’s because of the MACA.
Maca root powder is one of my new best friends! This superfoods positive effect on it’s overall health benefits sold me, instantly! I picked mine up from Wholefoods, but it is sold almost anywhere. The powerful source of nutrition it has to offer is mind blowing. It has positive effects on mood, energy, the immunity, as well as, acting as a natural antioxidant booster. Maca powder works great in smoothies, but can be used in just about anything.
How to make:
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 frozen banana
1 tablespoon almond butter
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon greek yogurt
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon maca powder
1 organic medjool date, pitted
6-8 ice cubes
Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth and enjoy!
