Grandma Anna’s Tea Time Tessies! Every Christmas we would wait for these mini tasty desserts. It was a must have in our house. Unfortunately, she can no longer make them for us. So I have taken over! She’s proud to have her granddaughter making them now. And….I’m sharing her awesome recipe with you all.
These tea time tessies are super easy to make. I use thisΒ mini muffin panΒ to make these cookies. It is a great sturdy pan!
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 3oz cream cheese
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream margarine and cream cheese together. Add flour and the dough will form. It will be on the stickier side.
- Using a mini muffin pan, lightly spray each hole. Form 1 inch balls and flatten with your palm. Lay in each hole. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven 350 degrees.
- Cream brown sugar, butter, egg and vanilla on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Evenly spread a few chopped pecans in each dough hole.
- Add sugar mixture to each and then top with more chopped pecans.
- Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm or let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
